Take Consulting’s mission and mandate is “planning with purpose”. Finding ways beyond the day to day work to realize this and create meaningful impacts has been at the core of what we do.

In January 2026, Kate traveled to Ghana to support the United Nations (UN) team for the delivery of an Infrastructure Asset Management (IAM) training program hosted by the National Development Planning Commission for Ghana. Over five days, representatives from over 20 local municipalities participated in an in-person training program involving both the UN Sustainable Development Goals initiative and the IAM training initiative. Kate served as a consultant instructor for the IAM portion of the interactive workshops.  

In March 2026, Kate travelled to Zambia for a similar workshop. The UN has developed multiple tools for use by municipalities to support IAM initiatives. Kate was the lead instructor for this multi-day session where municipal representatives developed Asset Management Action Plans for an asset managed by their municipality in real time as small groups. This marks the beginning of the IAM program between Zambia and the UN with potential for Kate to support this initiative in the future on a contract basis.
